Dennis Pernell was born on January 30, 1955 to the late Robert Pernell Sr. and Doris Champion Pernell in Hartford, Connecticut. He was educated in the Hartford Public School System, Hartford, Connecticut.

Dennis was united in holy matrimony with Linda Allen on November 5, 1993 in Ocala, Florida. This union was blessed with three children.

He worked for Mark III, K-Mart Distribution Center, Signature Brand and Waste Pro as a Forklift driver before retiring. Dennis enjoyed all types of sports especially football and basketball.  

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Linda Allen Pernell, of 24 years; two stepchildren: Ebony Allen and Rudolph Robinson; one granddaughter: Jasmine; three brothers: Robert Pernell, Jr., Lawrence Pernell and Reginald Pernell; one sister: Deborah Pernell Smith; one brother-in-law: Rodney Smith and a host of nieces, nephews and other sorrowing relatives and friends.

On August 22, 2017 Dennis Pernell departed this earthly life . He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Doris Pernell, stepson Kenshard Robinson.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.  at Summers Funeral Home Chapel.
