Willie Robinson was born on March 18, 1941 to Milton Roberts and Evelina Battles Roberts in Cross City Florida.
Educated in the public schools of Marion County and Citrus County attending Booker T. Washington and Crystal River High. He was a brick mason trade.
In 1984 he married Deborah Burgess in St. Petersburg Florida, together they raised ten children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Roberts, Sr., and Evelina Roberts; a daughter, Deborah Goolsby; six brothers, Nathaniel Roberts, Darries Robinson, Tommie Roberts, Milton Roberts, Jr., Richard Roberts, and George Roberts; one sister, Ola Mae Roberts.
Willie leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife of 36 years, Deborah Robinson; his children, Connie Robinson of Mississippi, Carolyn Burgess of St. Petersburg, Gladys Lobri of Gainesville, Rejetter Marcus (Kenny) of Wimaima, Teresa Lindsey (Alfonso) of Williston; Willie Robinson (Tina) both of St. Petersburg, Shirley Robinson and Lekisha Goolsby-Douglas (Amos) both of Gainesville, and Walter Goolsby of Dunnellon; 43 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; his brothers, David Lee Robert (Shirley) of Dunnellon, Mason Roberts (Veronica) of St. Petersburg, Eddie Roberts of Raiford, Clearance Roberts (Sandra) of St. Petersburg; his sisters, Willie Mae Roberts of Dunnellon; brother in laws, James Jackson of Bradenton, Wesley Jackson (Karen) of Parrish, Otis Jackson (Alicia) of Bradenton and John Oliver of Tampa; sister in laws, Gloria Frances and Vernice Oliver (Ike) both of Bradenton, Ojetler Oliver of Orlando and Verta Thomas (Nathaniel) of Parrish; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Public viewing on Friday, November 20, 2020 from 1:00pm until 6:00pm at Summers Funeral Home, 2238 NW 10th St, Ocala, Fl. 34475
A Celebration of Life for Mr. Willie Robinson will be on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 1:00 PM., at Voice of Deliverance Church, 7551 N.E. 184th Ave. Williston, (Raleigh) FL 32696.
Interment will follow in Dunnellon Cemetery.
