Walter Williams, 85, retired construction worker passed away on Saturday January 9, 2021 at Ocala Health and Rehabilitation Center under the care of Hospice of Marion County.
Walter was born in Ocala on July 8, 1935. He attended Howard Academy and served in the United States Army.
He is lovingly remembered by his brother: Pastor Dwayne Williams (Barbara), sisters: Gwendolyn Williams Roundtree (Leroy) and Pam Williams Wilson (James); grandchildren: Timothy Bennett, Jr. (Yolanda) and Shawnte Bennett Johnson (Michael); 5 great grandchildren; stepsons: James White and Patrick Williams; stepdaughter Felicia Williams Bollers; ex-wife Ruby Williams; and numerous grieving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Eliza Bright Williams; his father Dan Williams Sr.; stepmother Lanie Williams; brother Dan Williams Jr.; sisters: Francis Williams Ford and Lorraine Williams Holmes and Son Timothy Bennett Sr.
Public viewing on Friday January 15, 2021 from 1:00pm until 6:00pm at Summers Funeral Home, 2238 NW 10th St, Ocala, Fl. 34475
A Celebration of Life for Mr. Walter Williams will be at New Shady Grove Memorial Garden, on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
Interment will follow in New Shady Grove Memorial Garden.
