Walter Lee Flowers was born on July 18, 1961, to Oznie Flowers and Geraldine Oliver in Ocala, Florida. Walter received his formal education in the Public Schools of Marion County, Florida, graduating from Vanguard High School.
At the age of 16, Walter accepted Christ as his personal Savoir and was united with Mt. Tabor African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Walter although self-employed, loved spending time with his family and friends. He also loved traveling and fishing.
On October 8, 2022, the father called, and Walter answered that call and went home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Flowers Butler; three sisters, Suzanne Harris, Connie Ross, Karla Harris, and Youlanda Harris; his father, Reverend Oznie Lee Flowers; and his stepfather Walter "Sonny Boy Fields" Harris
Walter leaves to cherish his memory his children, 4 Daughters and 3 Sons his siblings, Martha Flowers, Claritha Harris, Sharon Harris, Paulette Harris and Daphny Young and Paul Harris, Reverend Johnnie J. Flowers (Teresa); Terry Flowers, Archie Flowers and Wilmer Flowers a special friend LaCoya Benton; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Public Visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 1:00 until 6:00PM at Summers Funeral Home 2238 NW 10th Street, Ocala 34475.
Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 1:00pm at ST Lewis Missionary Baptist Church, 3961 w Silver Spring BLVD Ocala, FL. 34482
