Vernon Leonard Warren was born on June 1, 1962, in Ocala, Florida, to Grady and Mattie Mae Warren, both of whom have passed away.
At just five years old, he moved to Pasadena, California, where he spent the next forty-four years of his life. He went through Washington Elementary School, Wilson Middle School, and graduated from Blair High School. During his school days, he was passionate about running track and had a knack for drawing comic books. After high school, he kicked off his career in the custodial industry, working for various cleaning companies until he joined Jalien LLC cleaning services in the early '90s, where he dedicated nine years of his life. Following that, he took on the role of head custodian at Mayfield Senior School, a position he held for fifteen years.
Vernon had a vibrant personality and a deep love for music, parties, and deejaying. He ran a deejay service on the side for many years, and he was the go-to guy for getting the party started. With his infectious energy, he could easily break into dance and singing, making every event memorable. One of his standout talents was putting on spectacular firework shows that left everyone in awe. Known for his kindness, Vernon never met a stranger and treated everyone like a friend. Conversations with him were always informative and newsworthy, as he made sure you left with all the details you needed. He had a big heart and cherished his family, treasuring the fun moments they shared together.
His parents, Grady and Mattie Warren, as well as his siblings Sandra Sanders, Grady Warren, and Gracy Warren, have all preceded him in death.
As the youngest of six siblings, he is survived by his sister Carolyn White (Leon) and sister Gwendolyn Warren-Vann, along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
