Theresa Louise Blige was born on February 8, 1956 to Nelder and Eva Mae Blige in Richmond Hill, Georgia.
Theresa received her formal education between the Public Schools in the state of Georgia and Florida. She furthered her education in the Lindsey Hopkins Adult Center in Miami, Florida.
She accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized on April 26, 1981 by Reverend J. W. Reynolds at Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Miami, Florida.
Theresa was united in Holy Matrimony with Mark A. Franklin on July 30, 1994 in Ocala, Florida. Their union was blessed with three children.
She was employed for over 25 years as Certified Nursing Assistance before retiring, and has work at Little Eden Home II, ARC, five years of service with Res-Care - Ocala Cluster.
Theresa love talking with Family members, cooking, baking and puzzles.
She was preceded in death by both her parents Nelder and Eve Mae Blige and a brother, Alphonso Blige.
Theresa Louise Blige Franklin was called home to be with God on November 28, 2021.
She leaves to mourn her loving husband of 27 years Mark A. Franklin, Sr., children: Deondre Franklin of Ocala, Stacy Blige (Gregory) and Shayne Blige of Miami; Stepchildren: Mark Franklin, Jr., Loretta (Eddie) Jackson, Mark L. Franklin, III, all of Ocala, and Jenna (Michael) Valenza of Dunnellon; 21 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. siblings: Vivian Blige, Nelvenia Blige, Karl Blige, Johnathan Blige of Miami, FL. and Johnny (Mary) Blige of South Carolina; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
Public Visitation will be held on Friday December 10, 2021 at 1:00pm until 6:00pm at Summers Funeral Home 2238 NW 10th Street, Ocala 34475.
Celebration of Life services for Mrs. Theresa L. Franklin will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Tabernacle of Deliverance Outreach Ministries, 1120 W Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL 34475.
