Shirleen Chappell was born on October 3, 1984, in Ocala, Florida to Sinclair Chappell and Shirley Vicks. She received her formal education in the public schools of Marion County; higher education was obtained from the College of Central Florida where she received her CNA license.
Shirleen was a loving mom who enjoyed helping others. She enjoyed singing and spending time with her children and work.
She was a vibrant and beautiful soul who gained her wings on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. Though her time with us was far too brief, Shirleen's presence left an indelible mark on the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her son, Da’Naire Peterson.
Left to Cherish her memories are her children, Shakeithea Tedford, Cassidy Peterson, Daelyn Washington, Demetri Washington; one granddaughter, Ariyah Barley; father, Sinclair Chappell; mother Shirley Vicks; siblings, Lacrete Baker-Coleman (Kenneth), Cynthia Vicks -Henderson (Ricardo), Eric Chappell (Jamie), Rhonda Chappell and Aaron Chappell; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Public Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24,2025, at 1:00 until 6:00PM at Summers Funeral Home, 2238 NW 10th Street, Ocala, FL 34475.
Graveside Services for Shirleen Chappell will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 12:00pm, at Chestnut Cemetery, 698 NW 13th Terrace, Ocala, FL 34475.
