Sandra Faye Jackson, affectionally called Faye, was the 6th of 7children born on June 7, 1951, to Leola Graham Mitchell of Anthony, Florida.
Faye transitioned from this life to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 20, 2022. Faye was educated in the Marion County Public School System. She was married to Nathaniel Jackson, who preceded her in death. In her early years she worked as a nurse’s aide.
Sandra accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Hope MBC, Anthony, where she was a lifelong member. At one time she was also affiliated with Word of Faith Deliverance, Bishop Ricky Williams and The Voices of Deliverance. Faye was faithful to ministry and would use her vocal talents to minister in song. She held various ministry positions and was active with Adult Choir, Director for Men’s Ensemble, Women’s Department, Newsletter and Mission Ministry.
She remained a faithful servant, even through her illness, until the Lord called her home. She was strong and resilient. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is also preceded in death by her oldest son, Roderick Mitchell, youngest daughter, Tafoya Chappele, and her siblings, Juanita M. Harris, Doris Cyprian, Pearlie Mae Campbell, William Clark, and Johnnie Lee Clark.
She is lovingly missed by her children: Stacey Harris, Shantel Charles, Nathaniel Jackson (Shequita), along with her grandson, Julius “JJ” Bentley, who she raised as her son. Siblings: Betty L. Oliver, Shirley A. Whitter, Lincoln C. Mitchell, Jr. (Lenora), Robert E. Mitchell (Yvonne), and Gwen M. Greenfield (Terry); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and her church family.
Public Visitation will be held on Friday February 25, 2022, at 1:00 until 6:00PM at Summers Funeral Home 2238 NW 10th Street, Ocala 34475.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 26, 2020, at 11:00am at New Hope Baptist Church Memorial Gardens, 8900 NE 27th Terrace, Anthony, Fl 32617.
