Polly Gertrude Ulmer

Polly Gertrude Ulmer was born on November 4, 1950, to Noah B. Ulmer and Letha M. Tanner Ulmer in Ocala, Florida.

Polly received her formal education in the Marion County Public Schools system, graduating from Belleview Santos High School, In Belleview, Florida, and later moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where she furthered her education at Salt Lake Community College.

She was employed by Intermountain Health Care as an Environmental Services Supervisor for 20 years.

In her leisure time she loved homemaking, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

On Wednesday, March 8, 2023, our heavenly Father called, and Polly closed her eyes and went home. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Leatha M Tanner Ulmer and Noah B. Ulmer; her sisters, Freddie Pearl Johnson, Evelyn Ulmer, Shirley Johnson and Patricia Ann Clark; her brothers, William Ulmer and Noah B. Ulmer, Jr.; her granddaughter, Keyshia Shantale Howard.

Polly Gertrude Ulmer is survived by her children, Michael Howard, Nachelle Howard and Keshia Howard; grandchildren, Da’Vontae Howard, Akeelia Howard and Amari Larsen; sisters, Barbara Hope, Nina Ulmer, and Sharon Stevens; brother, Zackious  Hope (Linda); nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Public Visitation will be held on Friday March 24, 2023, at 1:00 until 6:00PM at Summers Funeral Home 2238 NW 10th Street, Ocala 34475.

Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 2:00pm at Mt. Pisgah A.M.E Church,14520 S HWY 475, Summerfield, FL 34491.
