“There is no death! Death is very much like sunset. It is only an appearance.
For, when the sun sets here, it rises elsewhere. In reality, the sun never sets.
Likewise, death is only an illusion, an appearance. For, what is death here is birth elsewhere. For life is endless.”
Pauline Alexander was born on April 13, 1943, to the late Walter Meade and Cora Mae Powell in New Hebron, Mississippi. She was married to the late Howard Alexander in Sontag, Mississippi, and was the mother of 7 children. She was a member of Holy Temple C.O.G.I.C where she served as the mother of the Church. She retired after 32 years of service to the Marion County School Board as Lead Custodian. Her personal hobbies were Cooking, shopping and gardening.
"A gentle soul, a heart of gold, A life well-lived, a story told. Rest now, dear one, your journey's end, May peace and love forever transcend."
After 81 years of toiling under the sun, she entered the sunset of life. Death is but a transition from what was- the physical-to what will be-the spiritual. And the “What will be” far surpasses that “from which we came.”
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Alexander; both her parents, Cora Mae Powell and Walter Meade; and 3 siblings.
She leaves to cherish her memory, 7 children, Kenneth Alexander (Janice), Sammie Alexander, Howard Alexander Jr., Patricia Alexander, Sheila McGill (Kenneth); Cora Mae Alexander and Paul Alexander; 3 sisters Laura Mae Daniels, Emma Stowers and Ida Mae MacKay; 1 brother Willie Lee Powell; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services for Mrs. Pauline Alexander will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 11:00 am, at Wings of Faith Fellowship, 5066 SE 64th Ave Rd, Ocala, FL 34472.
