OLLISE MAE MOORE FELIX

 Ollise, was born May 10, 1939, to the late Squire and Carrie Speed Moore in Willacoochee, Georgia.  She was raised by the Late Ike and Lillie Terry.

She was employed and retired from Marion County School Board. Ollise was a pillar of the community and well loved by many.

She was a faithful member of 8th Street Church of God, Ocala Florida, under the pastoral ship of Bishop Isaiah E. Johnson, Sr.  Ollise was a beautiful soul.  She was God’s servant, caring deeply for others. Throughout her life she would continually extend thoughtful acts of kindness.  She was gentle, humble, and strong in her faith.  Ollise possessed the gift of empathy, she had the ability to listen, share a person’s concern, and provide sound advice.

Ollise was preceded in death by her grandparents: Pompie (Lucinda) Moore and Lewis (Margie) Speed; four sisters: Fannie Bradley, Carolyn Caswell, Lois West, and Dora Mae Peagus; brother: Cornelius “Buddy” Moore; husband: Jessie Felix Sr.; grandson: James Mitchell Jr., and son: Timothy Felix.

Ollise leaves to cherish her fond memories and continue her legacy, her children: Roland Walker, Washington, DC, Michelle (Charles) Jackson, Ocala, Florida, James Mitchell, Sr., Ocala, Florida, Lynette Smiley, Ocala, Florida, William (Bernice) Felix, Gainesville, Florida, and Jessie (Annie) Felix Jr., Ocala, Florida; Mother: Vera Moore, Jacksonville, Florida her sisters: Essie Mae (Wesley) Huntsville, Alabama and Bertha Smith, Tampa, Florida; brother: Squire ( Maxine) Moore, Homerville, Georgia; fourteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and god-daughter Shonria Searight.

Loving Daughter–in-law Serena Richard, and close Friend, Helen Hector.  Loving dedicated family members, Beverly Moore, Laura Lawton, Laura Ann Johnson.   A devoted and supportive neighbor Angela King; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.

Public Visitation will be held on Friday June 3, 2022, at 1:00 until 6:00PM at Summers Funeral Home 2238 NW 10th Street, Ocala 34475.

Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 11:00am at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 728 NW 6th Ave., Ocala, Fl 34475.
