Sister Noisettia Delores Brown Lewis was born the 7th child of Reverend Merrick D. Brown, Sr. and Mrs. Edith E. Brown in Ocala, Florida, on March 14, 1938.
She was educated in the Public Schools of Marion County, Florida as a graduate of Howard High School and FAMU. In 1960 she met and married Amos Alfred Lewis, Sr., and their union lasted for 56 years until his passing in 2016 at the age of 82.
As an educator, she taught school within the Public School System of Desoto County, Arcadia Florida.
Throughout her life she exemplified grace, strength, and compassion. She will be remembered for her thoughtful spirit, her enduring kindness, and the meaningful connections she formed with family, friends, and community.
Ms. Lewis was preceded in death by both of her parents; 5 siblings, Titus P. Brown, Sernether I. Brown, Merritt D. Brown, Jr., Carl A. Brown and Hawatha Brown; one son, Minister Amos Alfred Lewis, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Douglas Lewis and Edward Lewis; Devoted grandson, Douglas Patrick Lewis (Daphne), one brother, David Keys (Cathy) also, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Public Viewing will be on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 1:00pm to 6:00pm at Summers Funeral Home, 2238 NW 10th St, Ocala, Fl 34475.
Celebration of Life Service for Ms. Noisetta Delores Lewis, will be on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 10:00am at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 9010 SW 34th Place Ocala, FL 34481.
