Nathalene L. McDonald Maxwell received her formal education at Howard High School in Ocala, Fl..  She furthered her education at Central Florida Community College in Ocala, Fl..

Nathalene L. McDonald Maxwell accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was united with Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she served in the Junior Choir, later on as President of the Matrons, Director of the Junior Choir, Sunday School Superintendent, Usher Board, O.M. Hawkins Choir and the Mother Board.

She was employed by Lockheed Martin as a Quality Control Inspector for 35 years before she retired.

In her leisure she enjoyed spending time with family and spreading the word of God..

Nathalene Lorretta McDonald Maxwell departed this life on April 30, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her father Oras J. McDonald Sr., mother Dorothy L. Gillum, brother Dwight McDonald, brother Derek Brown, brother Lawrence McDonald, sister Mae Ella Stephens.

She leaves to cherish her memory Four Daughters: Carla Grant Harvey (Ricardo), Yolanda Shackleford, Rosalind Hanks and Alicia Hanks; a Bonus Son: Robert (Bishop Tanya) Hanks; Sixteen Siblings: Deidre Coy, Kandyce Gillum, Mozell McHellon, Marvin McHellon, Florita (William) Knights, Casandra (James Jr.) Ponder, Alvin McDonald, Queen (Cornell) Graham, Ella Daniels, Sylvia (Melvin) Butts, Helen (Bruce) Turner, Maurice (Rita) McDonald, Glenn Martin, Edwin (Esmer) McDonald, Oras McDonald Jr. and  Nefayra McDonald;  Four God-children: Randolph Mobley, Victoria Raines, Sirles Lawton and Daquan Roberts; Eleven Grandchildren: Bradley Grant, Timothy Foster, Byran Harvey, Davion Shackleford, Jeremiah (Alex) Hanks, Brianca Boulas, Robbie Hanks, Bryan Hanks, Kori Hanks, Brittany Hanks and Porsha Hanks; Mother in Love, Hattie Mable Hanks; Sixteen Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, brothers and sisters in love and sorrowing friends.

Public Visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 1:00 until 6:00PM at Summers Funeral Home 2238 NW 10th Street, Ocala 34475.

Celebration of Life services for Ms. Nathalene L. Maxwell will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 11:00 AM, New Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Ocala, FL 34476.
