Mary Alice Lewis Gonder

Mary Alice Lewis was born October 19, 1956, in Anthony, Florida to the late Raymond Lewis(father) and Jessie Alexander Lewis(mother).

Mary attended Public School and graduated from Vanguard High School, class of 1974. She met and married Jarvis Gonder Jr. (deceased) the love of her life and through their union one daughter was born, Michelle. Later, Mary would have another daughter, Natalie.

Mary was employed at Belks for over 30 years. She was a dedicated worker. She will be missed by her family, friends, co-workers.

On January 2, 2022, she heard the voice of the Master say come and rest my child. She was preceded in death by her father Raymond Lewis.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories a loving mother Jessie Lewis, two children: Michelle Purnell (Anthony) and Natalie Lewis; sisters: Ruth Cobarras, Rose McNabb, and Ava Wilson; brothers: Bennie (Shirley), Alexander, Frankie (Brenda) Alexander, and Isaac Lewis; two uncles: Lewis Alexander (Oralee) and Robert Alexander; grandchildren: A'Liyah, Ai'Dyn, Jaiden, Blake, Sy'Monne, La'Darius and Derion; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.

Public Visitation will be held on Friday January 14, 2022, at 1:00 until 6:00PM at Summers Funeral Home 2238 NW 10th Street, Ocala 34475.

Celebration of Life services for Mrs. Mary Lewis Gonder will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 11:30 AM at Gospel Temple Church of God in Christ, 705 NW 13th Ave. Ocala, FL 34475.
