Leonard Maurice Vassor was born on April 3,1964 in Roanoke Rapids, NC to the late Charlie S. Moody and Carolyn Vick Vassor.
Leonard received his education in the Northampton County Public School system and graduated with the Gaston High School Lakers, class of 1982. After high school, Leonard went into logging, and this became his lifelong profession until his retirement in 2018. His hobby, an Avid Fishermen.
He peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. He was preceded in death by siblings, Kevin Vassor and Shelia Vassor-Cumbo; grandparents, James and Lenora Vick; uncle, James Vick, Jr.
Leonard is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 36 years, Suzy Vassor; three children, LaKeisha Wilkerson of Crestview, FL, Rashida Vassor and Leonard Vassor, Jr. of Lowell, FL; three grandchildren, Latiana Wilkerson, Armani Wilkerson and Kingsley Miller; one sister, Felicia Mudd (Rodney) of Lilburn, GA; three aunts, Anita Underdue, Erma Dean Vick, both of Garysburg, NC, and Anesia Hawkins (Conrad) of Montclair, VA; one uncle, Willie Charles Underdue of Weldon, NC; sister in law, Tina Vassor of Halifax, NC; brother in law, Karl Cumbo of Conway, NC; nieces and nephews, Kevin, Natasha, Jamesha, Rodney, and Sydney. A host of cousins and friends; daughter of love, Michaela Quanese Wingster.

Public Viewing will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Summers Funeral Home Chapel at 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. and on Monday March 11, 2024, at 9:00 AM till 11:00AM
Celebration of Life services will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024, 2:00 PM, at Ocala Christian Church, 717 NE 36th Ave., Ocala, FL 34480.
