On February 1st, 1928, Ruben and Katie Mosby welcomed the last of their seven daughters into the world and named her Laura Mae.
As a young girl she flourished, and she received her formal education in the Marion County School System.
At an early age she joined and was baptized at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
As a young lady she met and married her soulmate Wille M. Moore settling in Weirsdale, Florida where they started their family of 2 boys and 8 girls.
They later moved to the Shady Grove or Hammock area of Ocala raising their kids and completing sixty-two (62) years of marriage.
She later joined and worshiped at Galilee Christian Church where she was appointed Mother of the Church, where she served until her health failed her.
Then 94 years and 312 days after her earthly story began God called her to her heavenly home. She was preceded in death by her parents and all her sisters and brothers.
She leaves to cherish her memory 2 sons Rev. Nathaniel (Cheryl) Moore, Craig (Karla) Moore;8 daughters Mary Jefferson, Vivian (Donald) Flowers, Milynda Mercer, Brenda Ismail, Jacquelyn Chandler, Gwenevere Kelly, and Lakay Jones; 1 adopted son Rev. Howard Gunn; 1 sister-in-law Wanda Mosby, 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
