LaRosa Roundtree

On May 9, 1959, LaRosa Roundtree was born in Ocala, Fl to Leroy Roundtree Sr. and Eddye Lee Roundtree.

She received her formal education through the Marion County Public School System, graduate of Forest High. LaRosa furthered her education at Central Florida Community College (CFCC).

She was employed at the Marion County Property Appraiser Office for many years.

LaRosa was kind and always willing to help others. She would help whoever was in need no matter what the task was. She was a friend, confidant, mentor and a helper to many of her friends and family. She loved listening to music, doing crosswords, puzzles, and spending time with family and friends.

LaRosa Roundtree departed this life on July 3, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leroy Roundtree Sr. and Eddye Lee Roundtree, brothers Theodore Brown, Joseph Brown and sister Joyce Bernard.

She leaves to cherish her memory four sons, Timothy Bostick Sr., Connell Roundtree Sr. (Kamiko), Byron Roundtree and John Fields Jr. (Trishashell); two daughters, Johnetta Fields (Lucinda) and LeKetcia Fields; grandchildren, Key’ara Roundtree, Timothy Bostick Jr., Connell Roundtree Jr., Jermani Fields, ZaRiyah Fields, Messiah Fields, Tristan Fields and Kenaria Dowdy all of Ocala; six brothers, Darrell Roundtree (Shedetta), Elvis Brown (Diane), LeRoy Roundtree Jr. (Gwendolyn) and Alonzo Brown all of Ocala, Alfonzo Brown of St. Pete, and Ivan Mobley of Webster; five sisters, Francina Brown of St. Pete, Bernadette Roundtree-Vaughn of Ocala, Bertha Fields of Maryland, Juanita Thompkins of Palm Bay, and Jamie Avant of Webster; two aunts Delores Taylor of Gainesville and Annie Jones of Ocala; One sister-in-law, Patsy Brown of Ocala; two close family friends, DieRangela Wilkerson and Jammie Long; a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, friends and family.

Public Visitation will be held on Friday July 15,2022 at 1:00pm until 4:00PM at Summers Funeral Home 2238 NW 10th Street, Ocala 34475.

Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday July 16, 2022, at 11:00am at Second Bethlehem Baptist Theological Seminary, 1105 NW 4th Street, Ocala, FL 34475.
