Joseph Vanester Brown was born on November 6, 1951 to Eli Brown and Eddye Lee McCoy in Ocala, Florida.
He was educated in the Marion County Public School System.
Joe was a former employee of Brown’s Logging and was employed with Summers’s Funeral Home, Inc. for fifteen years.

Joe Brown was preceded in death by both of his parents Eli Brown and Eddye Lee McCoy-Roundtree; his sister Joyce Bernard; brother, Theodore Brown; stepfather, Leroy Roundtree, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memories a companion of twenty one years, Debra Lyn Johnson; one son Joseph V. Brown, Jr.; one daughter Shiridijah Brown; three sisters, Francine Brown of St. Petersburg, LaRosa Roundtree and Bernadette (Jeffery) Vaughn both of Ocala; six brothers, Nathaniel Brown, Elvis (Diane) Brown, Alonzo (Gloria) Brown all of Ocala, Alphonso (Tyana) Brown of St. Petersburg; LeRoy (Gwendolyn) Roundtree, Jr., Darrell (Shedetta) Roundtree both of Ocala; one grandson, Joseph V. Brown III; one uncle, Emmerson Brown; two aunts, Annie Jones and Deloris Taylor; one sister in law Patsy Brown; a special son, Jovon Miles, Sr., and a special grandson, Jovon Miles, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Public viewing for Mr. Joseph V Brown will be Friday, August 6, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Summers Funeral Home, 2238 NW 10th Street. Ocala, FL. 34475
Celebration of Life (Graveside) services will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Chestnut Cemetery, 698 NW 13th Terrace, Ocala, FL 34475
Interment will follow in Chestnut Cemetery .
