James Pernell Bynes, Jr, affectionately known as "JJ" was born on April 20, 1976, to the late James Pernell Bynes, Sr and Brenda Bynes-McNair in Ocala, Florida. He is the second child, and first son of his parents.
James was educated in the Marion County Public School System and attended North Marion High School. James learned various trades and worked in general and skilled labor jobs.
James was of the Christian faith, and a member of Cathedral of Life Ministries Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Bynes, Sr, and sister Tamela Bynes-Barnes.
James leaves to mourn his passing and to cherish his memories, his loving mom Pastor Brenda Bynes-McNair, and stepfather, Larry McNair; brother: Carlos Harris, Jr; sister: Carla Washington (Kevin); stepbrothers: Larry Mcnair, Jr (Gigi), Mason McNair (Tasia), and Jason McNair (Enika); nieces: Olivia Charles, Victoria Charles, Ariah Charles; nephews: Kevin Charles, Jr, and James "Cameron" Charles; aunts: Helen Smith, Laydene Manning (Ralph), Betty Franklin, SyBrenda Johnson, Pastor Joyce Bynes, Joyce Rutledge (Pastor Primus), Kathleen Thomas (Willie), Wanda Williams (Richard), Gail Thomas, Tammy Graham, and Beverly Joseph; uncles: Willie James Manning, Clifford Manning, Robert Manning, Orion Bynes, Wilbert Bynes, Jr, Lyndell Bynes, and Darryl Thomas; Godfather, Rufus Williams, and Godmother Juanita Williams; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Public Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 1:00 until 6:00PM at Summers Funeral Home, 2238 NW 10th Street, Ocala, Fl 34475.
Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 1:00pm at Church of God by Faith in Righteousness and True Holiness, 16655 NE Jacksonville Road, Citra, FL 32113.
