Irving Lewis, Jr

Irving Lewis, Jr., was born on September 6, 1955, to Irving Lewis and Jerline Watson in Ocala, Florida.

He was born of the Christian faith. Educated in the public school of Marion County Florida attended Vanguard High School. Enjoyed his life, family and friends.

And just as it is appointed and destined for all men to die once and after this comes certain judgment, so Christ, having been offered once and once for all to bear as a burden the sins of many, will appear a second time when he returns to earth, not to deal with sin, but to bring salvation to those who are eagerly and confidently waiting for Him. On Monday, September 30, 2024, Irving heard the Masters call, closed his eyes, gathered his last breath and said goodbye to this old world. He was preceded in death by both his parents, Irving Lewis, Sr. and Jerline Watson and a brother Daryl Antonio Lewis.

Don’t think of him as gone away his journey’s just begun; life holds so many facets this earth is only one. Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years.  Think how he must be wishing that we could know today how nothing, but our sadness can really pass away. And think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched… for nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much.

Irving is survived by 11 siblings: Geraldine Williams of Tampa, Vivian Terry (Paul) of Largo, Curtis Lewis (Christine) of Ocala, Carolyn McCombs of Ypsilanti, MI, Lindell Lewis, Ronald Lewis (Felicia) both of Ocala, Don Lewis of Ann Arbor, MI, Wanda Lewis of Orlando, Danita Bernard, of Tampa, Michael Lewis (Kinberly) of McDonough, GA and Demetrious Lewis of Ocala; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial Service for Mr. Irving Lewis, Jr. will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Summers Funeral Home, 2238 NW 10th Street, Ocala, FL 34475.
