Gracy Warren Obituary

Gracy Rennea Warren was born on January 2, 1957 to the union of the late Grady and Mattie Mae Warren, who both proceeded her in death. She was a twin to her late brother Grady Ronna Warren who also proceeded her in death, here in Ocala FL.

Education & Occupation: Gracy received her formal education in Ocala, Florida at Dr. N.H. Jones Elementary school for grades 1st through 5th and finished school in the Pasadena, California school system where she graduated from Pasadena High School in 1975. She attended Pasadena City College where she studied Hospital Administration. She also attended Wilshire Technical College in Los Angeles, CA where she received her Nursing license in 1977. She worked for a private doctor before moving on to Temple Hospital in their Administration Department where she worked for 36 years until her retirement in September of 2014.

Religion: At a young age Gracy accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at Brown Memorial A.M.E. Church in Pasadena, CA. She later joined First A.M.E. Church in Pasadena where she served on several organizations before moving back to Ocala, FL in March of 2021.

Legacy: Gracy was blessed to give birth to her only child, her daughter Nyesha Splane, who she loved with her whole heart. Nyesha blessed her with 4 beautiful grandchildren that she loved and cherished.

Hobbies: In her leisure, she enjoyed listening to music and watching old movies. She also loved to watch Soap Operas daily. She loved jazz festivals and attending her grandchildren’s games and extra curricula activities. She volunteered her services to several organizations, including Women In Action, the NAACP and the Pasadena Black History Parada Committee, just to name a few.

Survivors: She leaves to cherish her memory daughter Nyesha Splane; grandchildren: Tyrikk Lawsen, Madysonn Peters, Kaiydenn Peters, and Cheyennee Peters; sisters: Overseer Carolyn (Pastor Leon) White and Gwendolyn Vann; brother: Vernon Warren; aunt: Ira Belle Bostick; goddaughters: Shardonnay Newton and Chemia Owens; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-great nieces, and nephews. She loved her family very much!

Public Visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023, at 1:00 until 6:00PM at Summers Funeral Home, 2238 NW 10th Street, Ocala, Fl 34475.

Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023, 1:00 PM at, Immerse Church of Ocala, 5105 North Hwy 441, Ocala, FL 34475
