Giovanni Munnerlyn Obituary

Giovanni “Gio” loved the Lord and grew up in the admiration of Lord. He was a faithful member. of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church where he ushered, was a member of the boy’s and
men’s ministry and was involved in other youth activities for several years until relocating to Tampa, Florida.

He enjoyed playing football, basketball, baseball, and track & field. He broke and is currently holding the triple jump record at Gaither High School. After graduating from high school, Gio completed one year of education at Hillsborough Community College.

He then enlisted and served in the United States Army for three years.

Gio was an avid car enthusiast and loved working on his BMW, he even did an engine swap from automatic to manual by himself. His desire was to become owner and operator of his own performance auto shop. He loved his family and close friends dearly. He always kept a smile on his face and was a very sociable person; no one was a stranger to him. He impacted the hearts of so many and leaves behind a LEGACY of love, laughter and happiness.

Martin Smith), Paternal grandparents: Simona Munnerlyn (Ronald Munnerlyn Sr. – deceased), Great grandmothers: Catherine Wheeler and Laurene Munnerlyn (deceased), God grandparents: Charles and Blanche Lauria, Bonus grandparents: Helen Wilbard and Johnny House, Godmother: Toni Rackard, Godfather: Garrett Reece (deceased), God Brothers: Christopher Herron, Derrick Rackard Jr., and Ayden Perez, God sister: Princess Reece
Aunts: Joy Colson (Welbert), Maricel Smith, Angelique Munnerlyn, Erica Smith, Charisse DeBose, Riquel Gore (Jeffery), Bonus Aunts: Belinda Johnson and Rochelle House, Uncles: Donald Munnerlyn (Anne), Derrick Smith (Kelly), and Mark Smith, Great Aunts: Debra Wheeler, Leonna Wheeler, Georgia Lucas, Darlene Hillary (Robert); Pamela Daniels, Jacqueline Edwards (Clarence), Carolyn Allen (Dennis), Wilhelmina Robinson (deceased); Great Uncles:  Roger Wheeler (Vielka), Aaron Wheeler Sr. (Charlette), Abraham Smith, James Smith (Jennifer, Jerome Smith (Blanche), Alfred Wheeler Sr. (deceased), and Alvin Wheeler (deceased); Great-great Uncles: Abraham Johnson, Benjamin Starker Sr., and Deighton Gilkes Sr., He also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other sorrowing friends.

Family and friends are to meet at Immerse Church of Ocala for the Cortege (line up) at 10:15am.

Public Visitation will be held on Friday March 24, 2023, at 1:00 until 6:00PM at Summers Funeral Home 2238 NW 10th Street, Ocala 34475.

Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 11:00am at Immerse Church of Ocala, 5105 N. Hwy 441, Ocala, FL 34475.
