Everett Suggs Obituary

"PLEASE AT THE REQUEST OF THE FAMILY, SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE PRACTICED"

When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:17 & 18 ESV

Everett Fitzgerald Suggs was born on May 3, 1968 to George Suggs, III and Vivian Irving in Ocala, Florida.

He received his formal education in the Public Schools of Marion County, graduating from North Marion High School with the Class of 1986.

At the age of 18 he became a truck driver with Margie Woods Trucking where he retired and later became an Independent Driver under G & A Trucking and hauled for Margie Woods Trucking.

Everett was married to the former Ada Mae Cohen for over 21 years.

He was of the Christian faith and trusted Christ as Savior and Lord.  He was an inactive member of Debose Chapel in Reddick but regularly attended Bible Study for the past two years at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Candler under the leadership of Reverend Mike E. Davis, Sr., Everett would take lots of notes and ask questions as he was hungry for God’s Word.

Everett had a big heart that loved people and was eager to help his family, friends and  everyone he could. If he saw someone broke down or stuck on the road, he would always stop to offer help, even if he was riding with someone else.

He was a driver with the Untouchables Car & Truck Club. As a driver with the Untouchables, the organization travels throughout communities specifically to Boys and Girls Clubs staging car shows and mentoring the youth of today while encouraging them to stay in school and showing them that they could have nice things.

A diehard Seminole Fan that loved Family, fishing, grilling and dancing. He always put his family first. He loved, cherished and adored his grandchildren, and they loved their Papa, you could hear them call out to him every day.

On Monday, November 30th Everett heard the call of the Master and said goodbye to this old world with its troubles and disappointments and went home to be with God.

He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife, Ada Suggs, two sons, Alvin Terry and Jonathan Gant (Jasmine); a goddaughter, Shanice Donaldson; five grandchildren, Kahnyeshia, Jaceyon, Emoni, Aliah and Alvin, Jr.; his father, George Suggs; his mother, Vivian Irving; his grandmother, Mae Frances Baker; two sisters, Carla Pryor and Andrea Dawson (James); one brother, Pierre Suggs (Krystal), A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
