The Clock of Life is wound but once, and no one has the power to tell just when the hand will stop, at late or early hour. Now is the only time you can live, love, and toil at will. Place no faith in tomorrow for the Clock may then be still. 

Death is just a detour along life’s winding way that leads God’s children to a bright glorious day. Thus, was for Brother Eugene Nichols, and the eternal light from heaven found

Brother Eugene on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, and he was fully prepared to take his journey. 

Gene was born on November 5, 1934, to the proud parents of Mr. and Mrs. Charles James “CJ” Nichols. Gene was educated in the Marion County School System and later employed in various career fields most notably as a Soldier in the United States Army, a business owner of Gene’s Supermarket, and a Farmer. He fell in love with his wife Helen Gordon Nichols until her demise on January 2, 2023. 

Gene became a Christian at an early age. He had a deep love for people. He didn’t meet a stranger, once he knew you, he rarely forgot a name and/or face. He thoroughly loved his devoted wife, children, family, and friends. He was very wise, everyone learned a lot from him. He was full of love, had a wonderful spirit of giving and a heart full of love!  

Gene will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He leaves to cherish his loving memories, to mourn the following:
