Ervin Leroy Lake was born on April 30, 1955 in Ocala Fl., to Luresa and the late Willie Lake Jr.
Ervin was baptized at an early age at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He attended Forest High School in the Marion County School System. Mr. Lake was employed at Chariot Eagle Mobile Homes until retiring. He later married Antonette G. Lake on December 3, 1976 in holy matrimony.
He was preceded in death by his father Willie Lake Jr., his wife: Antonette, one brother: Curtis Lake, five sisters-in-law: Jackie Lake, Louise "King" Hunter, Betty Gadson Favors, Valeria Lake, Ernestine Ford, and three brothers-in-law: Ray Gadson, Arthur "Buddy" Gadson, and Alphonso "Pop" Gadson.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories two sons: D'marius (Tamika) Gadson and Ivan Lake; his mother: Luresa Lake; one sister: Elease Lake; five brothers: Willie (Patricia) Lake, Lawrence Lake, Nathan Lake, Richard Lake, Robert (Michelle) Allen Jr; five grandchildren: KeJuan Gadson, Jaylon Gadson, Titus Lake, Amiyah Gadson, and Tatum Lake, one great grandchild: ARia Gadson; three sisters-in-law: Mildred Green, Barbara Gale Taylor, Janie Lake, one brother-in-law: Bobby (Katrina) Gadson, a devoted friend Wayne Mitchell, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Public viewing on Friday March 19, 2021 from 1:00pm until 6:00pm at Summers Funeral Home, 2238 NW 10th St, Ocala, Fl. 34475
A Celebration of Life for Mr. Ervin Lake will be at New Shady Grove Memorial (Graveside) Garden, on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
Interment will follow in New Shady Grove Memorial Garden.
