Mrs. Ernestine Lee Heath Patterson
“Bunchie”
Ernestine Lee Heath was born on December 19, 1927, to the union of Ernest Rafe Heath and Lucy Calvin Heath in Reddick Florida.
She received her formal education from Mt. Zion High School in Reddick. She furthered her education at Florida A & M University in Tallahassee.
She was an educator for the Alachua County School System for 32 years.
Mrs. Ernestine accepted Christ as Savior at an early age at United Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor U. L. Ulmer. She served on the usher board for many years faithfully.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and a Past Matron of the Heroines of Jericho
Her hobbies were working in her yard and planting flowers. She loved and cared for her dogs.
On January 25, 2022, Mrs. Ernestine went home to be with God. She was preceded in death by both her parents, Ernest & Lucy Heath; two sisters, Althea Wilson and Myrtle Lee Walker.
She is survived by her son, Jimmie Patterson, Jr. of Easton, Maryland; one daughter and her husband, “Patty” Selma and Raymond Barnes of Albany, GA; daughter in law, Poncianna Patterson of Reddick. 7 grandchildrens, Terrence McCleare of St. Micheals, Maryland, Renea Patterson of Reddick, Roderick Brown of Ocala, Adrian Brown of San Diego, California, Kevin Patterson of Reddick, and Tracey Parker of Tallahassee; 13 great grandchildren, DeShun, Dallas, Phonnyex, Ariyia, Ayiaya, Kashon Jr., Kevon, Julin, Cianna, Roshard, Kaamiel and Ajavien; 4 God children, Nadine Stokes of Reddick, Willie Mae Hawkins of Ocala, Frank and Sharon Brown of Ocala
Public Visitation will be held on Friday February 4, 2022, at 1:00 until 6:00PM at Summers Funeral Home 2238 NW 10th Street, Ocala 34475.
Celebration of Life services for Mrs. Ernestine Patterson will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 1:00 AM at United Missionary Baptist Church, 15460 NW 44th Avenue Road, Reddick, FL 32686.
