Life Reflection
of
Elizabeth Ann Shelton
Sister Elizabeth Ann Shelton entered the realm of this life on March 11, 1955, to George and Catherine Shelton in Ocala, Florida. and for over seven decades, she served as a pillar of strength, wisdom, and kindness.
On Friday, April 10, 2026, she answered the Master’s call and entered the "sweet by and by," finding eternal rest and perfect peace.
She received her formal education in the Public Schools of Marion County Florida.
Elizabeth accepted Christ as her personal Saviour at an early age being united with Mount Olive Baptist Church and was later united with Ramah Missionary Baptist Church in Belleview, Florida where she served as an usher.
She was employed by the Marion County School board as a Bus Driver retiring after 35 years of service and was formerly a seamstress.
In her leisure time she enjoyed family and friends, watching Jeopardy and working on Word Search puzzles. Elizabeth carried herself with grace, offered love without condition, and left an indelible imprint on the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Her steady presence and gentle spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Catherine Shelton; sister, Cornelia Perry; brothers, Arnold, Frank, Walter James, Quinton and George, Shelton, Jr.;
Her departure leaves a void that only faith can fill. As family and friends reflect upon her earthly journey, they do so with grateful hearts—thankful for the memories shared, the lessons imparted, and the legacy of love she leaves behind for her two daughters, Kathryne Larkins and her husband, Danny, and Leslie Gillum; two sons, Belton Hagins, Sr. and Steven Houston; one sister, Lorene Shelton; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
