Edward Maurice Mitchell Sr. was born on April 14, 1937 to Edgar Mitchell and Maggie Perkins in Ocala, Florida.

Edward received his formal education at Howard High School in Ocala, Fl. He furthered his education with some college.

In his leisure, he enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and watching sports.

Edward Maurice Mitchell Sr. leaves to cherish his loving memories five sons: Edward Jr. (Lisa), William,  Terrell(Priscilla), Randall(Rosalind), and Corey; 15 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and close relatives and friends.

Public viewing for Mr. Mitchell will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 1:00pm until 6:00pm at Summers Funeral Home 2238 NW 10th Street, Ocala, Fl 34475.

 Celebration of Life (Graveside) services will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 10:00am at Faith Memorial Gardens 3035 Old Blitchton Road, Ocala, Fl 34475.
