While we mourn the passing of Brenda, We are also rejoicing to meet her behind the veil.

Brenda Lewanda Dawson was born November 29, 1956 to Leander Dawson and Annie Bea Autry in Ocala, Florida.

Education in the public school of Marion County Florida, attended Vanguard High School.

Brenda was employed as a homemaker and a caretaker at Henderson House Hospice.

A strong, loving and free spirit, Brenda loved spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Leander Dawson; a brother, Willie Thomas, Jr.; and a grandson, Zhydrick Brown.

Brenda is survived by her children, Laxavier Johnson,  Codrick Brown, Dexter Dawson, Latarsha Dawson (Wynonia), Shaconda Dawson (Leonardo), Taukiya   Bostick (Amos) and Charlie Brown; her mother, Annie Bea Autry-Thomas;  her sisters, Marie Young (Thomas), Bernice Dawson, Marilyn Williams (Wallace) and Cynthia Thomas; her brothers, Sylvester Johnson, Stanley Dawson, and Ricky Thomas; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews’ cousins and friends.

Public viewing on Friday, November 20, 2020 from 1:00pm until 6:00pm at Summers Funeral Home, 2238 NW 10th St, Ocala, Fl. 34475

A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Brenda L. Dawson will be on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 11:00 AM., at Immerse Church of Ocala, 5105 N. Hwy 441, Ocala, FL 34475. 

Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.
