Bobbie Jean Figgs was born on September 16, 1939, to Raymond Figgs Sr. and Pearl White in Live Oak, Florida.

She received her formal education in the Public Schools of Suwannee County in Live Oak, Florida. She furthered her education at Marion County Vocational School in Ocala.

Bobbie Jean accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and was united with Bethlehem Baptist Church in Love Oak, Florida and later joined Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Ocala and then joined Meadowbrook Church.

Bobbie married Calvin Ward, Jr. and their union was blessed with I child.

She was employed for 41 years with Munroe Regional Medical Center now called Advent Health as an Environment Health Aide.

Upon her retirement she enjoyed going to Publix where she met many friends and has never met a stranger.

Bobbie Jean Figgs Ward heard the Master’s call on went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 20, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Pearl White Figgs; her husband, Calvin Ward Jr., brother, Edward Figgs, sisters, Helen Figgs Allen, and Shirley Ford; her son, Roderick Figgs.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted daughter, Edith Ward; stepson, Eugene Ward, stepdaughter, Sabrina Ward Cook; sister-in-law, Lillie Mae Figgs; like a daughter, Veronica Blunt (Mario); Special nieces and nephews, Sharon Jenkins (Eddie), Tracey Allen, Kattie Allen Francis, Jeffery Allen, Marty Allen; special cousin, Esther Wright and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Public Visitation will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023, at 1:00 until 6:00PM at Summers Funeral Home, 2238 NW 10th Street, Ocala, Fl 34475.

Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 1:00pm at Live Oak Eastside Memorial Cemetery, 522 Eva Ave. NE, Live Oak, Florida, 32064
