Born:       March 12, 1957 in Canastota, New York the oldest of 9 children

Parents:    The late Isaac and Angelee Mackey

Educated:  In the Public Schools of Canastota, NY and Marion  County, Florida  

She was Certified Nursing Assistant. 

In addition to her parents, Barbara is predeceased by  her sisters Earlene Mackey, Delores Mackey McDonald.

She is survived by her husband,  Ed Rushing; 5 children - Curtis Mackey (Trina), Samantha Mackey, Burdette Mackey (Toyia), Serena Clark   and Ed Rushing V. 16 grandchildren,  Trintan Mackey, Cemaria Mackey, Angleshia Mackey, Alarrion Mackey, Zaiden Mackey, Eriah Forrest, Yanna Forrest, Akasha Givens, Iqueria Mackey,    Miracle Mackey, Yolanda Vernon, Marcus Vernon, Ezia Rushing, Envy Rushing, Edmair Rushing , Devondre  and Ed Tyreese. 6 surviving Sisters,   Minnie Mackey, Janice Pringle, Rosa Bradshaw, Sheila Gadson, Arlene Lissimore  and  Darlene Pringle. 4 great grandchildren, Zion Mackey, Sha'deria Drye, Alayah Wheeler and Kyah  Ross. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Public Viewing will be on Friday February 21, 2020 from 1:00pm until 5:00pm at Summers Funeral Home, 2238 NW 10th St, Ocala, Fl.

A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Rushing  will be Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at New St. John Baptist Church, 2251 Northwest 2nd Street, Ocala,Florida 34475
