 If we did not go to sleep at night

We’d never awaken to see the light;

And the joy of watching a new day break

Or meeting the dawn by some quite lake,

Will never be ours unless we slept

While God and all his angels kept,

A vigil through this “little death”

That’s over with the morning breath.

And death, too, is a time of sleeping

For those who died are in God’s keeping.

And there’s a sunrise for each soul,

For life not death is God’s promised goal.

So trust God’s promise and doubt him never.

For only through death can man live forever!

On Tuesday, March 28, 2023, Arthur Goldwire, Jr. entered his eternal rest to join those that had gone on before him. He was preceded in death by both his parents, Arthur Goldwire Sr., and Rose Lee Terry; three siblings; and his wife, Willie Mae Goldwire.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Oretha Goldwire of Lakeland, Florida; his brother, Joenathan Goldwire; 8 grandchildren, Deborah Tillman, Terrence Goldwire, Latonya Goldwire, Adrian Goldwire, Ben Foster, Earl Foster, Anthony Foster and Greg Foster; a host of great grandchildren; his dear friend, Earl Terry; his special friend, Ms. Barbara Collins; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Public Visitation will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 1:00 until 6:00PM at Summers Funeral Home, 2238 NW 10th Street, Ocala, Fl 34475.

Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 11:00am at Stanton First Baptist Church, 15985 SE 140th Ave., Weirsdale, Florida, 32195.
