Mrs. Annie Bell Preston, a woman of unwavering faith grace and devotion entered eternal rest on May 4, 2026, just days before her 95th birthday. She was born on May 11, 1931 in Ocala Florida to the late Mr. Dan King and Mrs. Elizabeth Jones.
At an early age, Annie Bell gave her life to Christ and was baptized at Greater Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. Her love for the Lord was evident throughout her life as she faithfully served through the Youth Choir Sunday School and various church ministries. She dedicated many years of service to Mt Moriah Missionary Baptist Church before returning to her home church in her later years. Her walk with God remained the foundation of her life guiding her with faith love, strength. and a servant's heart that touched everyone around her.
Anne Bell was a proud graduate of Howard Academy She was a gifted and dedicated beautician for over 30 years, touching countless lives not only through her talent but through her warm spirit and listening ear. Later in life she expanded her calling of care by becoming a certified nursing assistant continuing her legacy of compassion and service. She also faithfully served the State of Florida working with adolescent youth, where her wisdom and nurturing presence made a lasting impact.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late Riley Preston Sr, and together they built a life centered on love, faith. Annie Bell was the heart of her family - devoted wife, a nurturing mother, and a guiding light.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Riley Preston. Sr.; her parents, Dan King and Elizabeth Jones; her brothers, Joseph King (Lillian), Leander Jones (Jeanette); her sons, Riley Preston, Jr, Claude Preston, and Walter Preston (Teresa); in addition to her cherished daughters, Paula Preston and Claudette (Preston) Peyton.
Though she has departed this earthly life, her legacy lives on in those who were blessed to call her their own. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving children Frenchie Hampton (Ronald, Sr), Lydia Darnes, Paul Preston Sr (Daphne), Sheddrick Preston and Marese Preston, with a host of devoted grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Her love was the thread that wove her family together and her prayers will forever echo in their hearts.
