Robert H. Hall

Robert Herbert Hall was born on February 3, 1922 in Belleview, Florida. He was the seventh of nine children born to Rev. Benjamin F. and Annie Scott Hall.

Robert accepted the Lord at an early age. He attended Friendship Baptist Church where his father, Rev. Benjamin F. Hall, was the pastor.

He and his siblings grew up in Belleview where they attended the Belleview-Santos School System which was initially established for African-American students.

Robert met and married Annie Pearl Finley(deceased) from Ocala, FL. To this union Patricia Ann and Robert Larry were born.

Robert learned his masonry skills from his brother-in-law, John Dunn (Ethel). He was the proprietor of Hall Masonry, Inc. until his retirement. His business extended through Broward, Dade, and Palm Beach counties.

Years later, he met and married Mele Tina Pohahau. They enjoyed traveling to the South Pacific with family members. Hawaii was their favorite destination. When Robert retired, he and Tina returned to Belleview. He built his final home on the land where he was born.

Our beloved husband, father, uncle, and friend peacefully transitioned on Good Friday, April 19, 2019 in his sleep at home surrounded by family and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by both his parents and all of his siblings: Eddie, Bennie, Ethel, Ira Bell, Benjamin, Johnny, Theodore, and Annie.

He leaves his cherished memories to his loving wife, Mele Tina Hall; daughter: Patricia Hall Epps (Leonidas S. Epps, III (deceased); son: Robert Larry Hall (Diane Washington Hall); three grandchildren: Leonidas S. Epps, IV (Juanita), Anthony A. Epps (Sibahn), Kimesha Hall Francis (Dwight); three great-grandchildren: Zoe, Saxon, and Jordan; one sister-in-law: Dorothy Hall(Dr. Theodore Hall (deceased); one cousin: Maxine Hixson and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.

He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Public Viewing will Friday, April 26, 2019 at 10:00 AM at New St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church

Funeral Services for Mr. Robert Hall  will be on Friday, April 26, 2019 at 11:00 AM at New St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, 4491 NW 27th Avenue, Ocala, FL 34475. 

Final Interment will follow at Hall's Cemetery, Belleview, Florida.
