Nellie Anderson-Johnson Obituary

Pastor Nellie M. Anderson-Johnson was born July 17, 1932 in Dunnellon, Florida. She was the oldest of three children born to LaFayette “Fate” Mcquay and Alberta Smith-Mcquay.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Ellen McQuay Powell Adams and Betty McQuay Simpkins.

She attended school here in Dunnellon and later pursued a career with the Federal Government working as a secretary with the National Security Agency in Ft. Meade, Maryland, where she retired. She was a wife and mother of three children, Leroy, Anthony and Robin.

She has been a mother to many, both physically and spiritually. As she inclined in spiritual growth, she continued to excel with desire to work by witnessing to many about the salvation that God gives. Her work was in music as a ministry, preaching Gods word as a ministry. She also reached out to others that needed a friend, help in a time of need, and food ministry. She will be missed but always loved.
