Joseph was preceded in death by both his parents, Henry Lewis and Bernice Bennett Lewis and his wife Evalona Brodie Lewis.
He leaves to cherish his memories: one brother, Keith H. Lewis (Dollie), of Ocala; Diane Credle (Calvin) of Neptune, NJ and Melissa Roy of Ocala; stepson, Dominic Anderson; step grandson, Dominic Ford; father in law, Reverend N. P. Brodie of Fayetteville, NC; sister in law, Annette Jackson (Ralph) of Duluth, GA; brother in laws, Norwood P. Brodie, Jr. (Patricia) of Lawrenceville, GA, Steve Brodie (Joyce) of Snellville, GA; four nieces; four nephew; one uncle, Elay O. Lewis, Sr. (Geneva) of Dayton, Oh; three aunts, Alice Lewis of New Jersey, Mazie Lewis of Jacksonville, FL, Noisettia Lewis of Ocala, FL and a host of cousins and friends.

Graveside Service for Mr. Joseph Bennett Lewis will be Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 1:00pm at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 12300 West State Road 40,
