Erna Gardner was called home to rest on November 21, 2017. She was born on June 1, 1942 in Ocala, Florida to the late James Gardner and Johnnie D. Gardner.

Erna was a retired educator with a career in teaching for over 30 years.

She was a faithful member of The Church of the Living God, Pillar and Ground of the Truth. She served as an active member and church secretary for over 30 years.

Erna is survived by, children: Xavier (Sharon) of Miramar, FL, Felicia, Jewel, and Capucine of Ocala, FL, Bridgette (Richard) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Miguel (Rhonda) of Orlando, FL; sister: Myrtle (Willie) of Miami, FL; grandchildren: Lashunda, Xavier Jr., Joaquim, Sebastian, Reshard, Jaurodd, Quentin Jr., Lavonta, Davian, Eric, Joshua, Markysha, Maya, Erica, Shalaunte, and Dejah; nieces: Zharmille and Apryl (Darrell); nephew: Mario (Yacenda) and a host of other great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.

Visitation for Erna E. Gardner will be held on December 1, 2017 from 12 noon until 6:00pm at Summers Funeral Home, 2238 NW 10th St, Ocala, Florida 34475.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 2pm, at The Church of the Living God, Pillar and Ground of the Truth, 1310 NW 9th Ave. Ocala, Florida 34475.
