Willie Mae McCloud

 Sister Willie Mae McCloud began this life on July 29, 1952, in Dania, Florida, she was one of 10 children born to Eddie Williams and Bennie Mae Blunt.  She was preceded in death by her father Eddie Williams, step-father Phillip Blunt and brothers Eddie Williams Roy Lee Brown and Levi Williams.

Willie Mae attended Fessenden High School, class of 1970 here in Marion County. After completing her schooling, Willie Mae met and married Izell McCloud, they shared 36 years of marriage.

She had been employed by Shands Hospital as a cashier; she retired from there after thirty plus years of service.

On Monday, November 20, 2017, the death angel came to remove her from this earthly dwelling.

Those who loved and will cherish Willie Mae’s memories are her: husband Izell McCloud, Palatka, FL; three daughters - Iris Nichols, Jacksonville, FL, Rozina (Darryl) Castor, Flemington, FL, Kristie McCloud, Palatka, FL; one loving grandson -  Kei-van Castor, Tallahassee, FL; Mother - Bennie Mae Blunt, of Flemington, FL; Father-in-law - Pete McCloud, Jasper, FL; five brothers - Carl Williams, Curtis (Bernadine) Williams, Arnold (Teresa) Gasken, Gregory McClenton, Flemington, FL, Mitchell (Gena) McClenton, Williston, FL; one sister -  Connie Williams (Ralph McNeal), Flemington, FL; two sisters-in-law - Joyce (Bernard) Wilson, Lake City. FL, Sharon McCloud, Jennings, FL; four uncles -  Levon (Gwen) Williams, Cornelius (Dorothy) Williams, Eddie (Rosa) Williams all of Gainesville, FL, Ogean (Mildred) Blunt, Flemington,  FL; five aunts - Thelma (Ernest) Carter, Gainesville, FL, Ida Mae Williams White, Alachua, FL, Hilda Ivery,  Mae Helen Patterson, Flemington, FL, and Ernestine Blunt, Reddick, FL; two great-aunts - Lucille Stacey of Archer, FL, and Mira Williams of Starke, FL; one great-uncle - Willie Yarber, Archer, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.

Public visitation will be Friday, December 1, 2017, at 12 noon until 6pm at Summers Funeral Home, 2238 NW 10th St, Ocala, FL.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11:00pm at Canaan Baptist Church, Rev. Nathan M. Sommons, Pastor.
