James Thorpe, Jr. was born to the late James Thorpe, Sr. and Marie Green Smith in Chiefland, FL.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two children: Sonya (John) Seay and Isaac (Gert) Nunn; three grandchildren; one brother: Sherman (Judith) Smith; one sister: Sandra (Charles) Evans; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Public viewing will be on Friday, June 30, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

There will be a Wake Service on Friday, June 30, 2017 6:00 p.m. at Welcome Stranger Missionary Baptist Church, 906 NW 9th Avenue, Ocala, FL 34475,  Rev. James F. Pullings, Sr., Pastor

Homegoing Celebration will be on Saturday, July 1, 201711:00 a.m. at Greater Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, 515 NW 6th Terrace, Ocala, FL 34475, Rev. Edward Bland, Pastor.
